Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 install

Honestly, how can I speed up the mandatory update for the initial install of the program? The problem is that the program is self-limiting its download duty cycle. It downloads a burst for about 2-3 seconds (the calculated average data rate streaks up to a blazing 1.2mbit/s) and then sits idle for about 10 seconds (as the calculated average data transfer rate drops to almost zero). The composite download rate is pitiful. The program has been downloading the initial updates for ALMOST A WEEK now and is FAR from being done (_only_ have 94 GB to go!).

This is not a problem with my network connection (it runs at 52mbit/s...with the MSFS downloading), it's not a problem with my total downloaded data this month (my ISP isn't throttle data flow). It isn't a problem with the DNS or IPV4/6. The option to set Data Bandwidth Usages Limit to Unlimited isn't available on the initial update because the program doesn't launch until the update is complete. I've attempted the various command line changes recommended on various threads (followed by reboots, of course). None of it has helped. The program is doing it to itself.

Is there a registry setting I can change to remove this download limiting? (Yes, I'm to that point.)

Honestly, who would write a program that is this user-belligerent?
