    What good is Microsoft family if I am not able to control my sons account?

    His account has been hacked and no matter what we do Microsoft will not recover it for me. I have his account attached to mine in the MS family portal, but I am not able to change the recovery email address and it will not send codes to the primary email address.

    So, in order for you to add your son's account to your family account, he should have his own account, since his account is pretty much the same as yours, you're not unable to add it. :/

    You can do it the way I said too. It also has nothing to do with Microsoft Family. All Microsoft Family does is give permission for your family to play the game. It has nothing to do with sharing. As long as you have the option to play the game offline
    ticked in the Microsoft Store, then anyone should be able to play the game on your PC.
