    My daughter has been bugging me to play Minecraft online with her friends.

    So we set up the entire Microsoft family thing, and invited her account to it.

    When she clicks on the join button in the mail, it claims she already is part of a family.

    Logging in on her Microsoft account we cannot see that she is part of any family.

    Hence we cannot change her permissions, and neither is she allowed to do this herself.

    The only option I can determine right now is to delete her Microsoft account, wait 30 days for it to actually get deleted, and then create a fresh one.

    This seems quite the hassle, am I missing some obvious button or setting?

    So, in order for you to add your son's account to your family account, he should have his own account, since his account is pretty much the same as yours, you're not unable to add it. :/

    You can do it the way I said too. It also has nothing to do with Microsoft Family. All Microsoft Family does is give permission for your family to play the game. It has nothing to do with sharing. As long as you have the option to play the game offline
    ticked in the Microsoft Store, then anyone should be able to play the game on your PC.
