    Microsoft Family Safety Xbox Requests

    HI,

Can someone please explain to me how we approve requests from our child in Xbox in Microsoft Family ? Been going round in circles for hours!!!

We have added Xbox Game Pass but she needs permission so play online, we have sent a message for this but I haven't received the email or see anything on the parent dashboard. We have also tried to add friends but again cant do it without approval cant cant see where to approve or change her settings so they dont need approval.

    Does seem very unuser friendly

    :)

Family Safety NOTIFICATION Settings... why can I not find a way to change them online?

The problem is not on Xbox. The problem is associated with the Microsoft Family Safety App as well as the online Family Safety website.

There was no option under the list of “products” close to the Family Safety App except under Xbox when I submitted this request for help. Nor is there a “chat” or “phone” support option for the App…

I appreciate the above info but it is all unrelated to the Family Safety App which affects use across more than just Xbox, such as laptop, online access etc. for kids in the family.

Any help on the App and notification settings within the App is what I am looking for support on.

    Hi Jessica,

Are you controlling your sons account through the family safety features of your Microsoft account or just through the options on the Xbox itself? I ask because I control friend requests through the family safety app on my phone and wasnt asked to set up a pin for my son.

    David.

    Hey there, Jessica Welsh

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Please can you post a screenshot showing what you see on the Microsoft Family page here: Microsoft Family Safety

Please make sure you remove personal information from the image, before uploading it to the forum.

To accept a request from the child account, it may come through in an email or through the Xbox Family safety app. You can download the Xbox family app through the store app on your phone.
