Microsoft Family Safety Report Always Wrong

    Hello,

Each week I get my Microsoft Family Safety report for the activity of my boys on their Xbox and each week it is wrong. I even spent 30 minutes on tech support trying to make sure that our account wasn't hacked since it was showing my son was online when
I knew he wasn't. There have been so many errors in the tracking that this service is useless.

Today was the ultimate in MICROSOFT FAILURE. The weekly activity report for one son is 'No activities were found for Cole for the past seven days.' I have watched him
play on his account so I know this is wrong.

There isn't even a Category below for 'Family' or 'Other' or 'Security' or anything close so I chose 'Xbox' and 'Accessibility' just to get it posted.

    :)

One of the techs checked to see if there were any logins from different systems and he came back with they were all coming from the same Xbox station.

I just looked, the system says one was on for 1 hr 40 and the other 1 hr 44 min. Neither have been online today

Have you contacted Microsoft Support about this issue? I wonder if this is a bug that they don't know about? I use the Family Safety Reporting for my daughter and it seems to work pretty accurately.

Yes, I have been on with Tech Support. This has been an ongoing issue and the only response I have gotten is, it should be working.

there have been a few bugs recently where everyone was showing as offline which might have affected the tracking on your sons' accounts.

if you see that they are signed in when you know they aren't you can get them to sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/security/ and then go to Sign-in activity to
see if someone else has signed into the account

    Hey there, JahGxtDrip

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

When uploading content to Xbox services or Microsoft services, it is always best to think "Would this be suitable to show to a child as young as 6"

If you are not 100% sure it would be, don't upload it.

With regards to other people uploading questionable content. please report these to the Family Safety team via the reporting tools found on the console or the Xbox profile. This way, the Family Safety team will be able to review and act on the report.

    Hope this helps,

    Nathan
