I'm all for anything that encourages well regulated but enjoyable gaming !

Just teach your kid to never join a strangers party 9 out of 10 times people in that party will try to DDOS your modem and throw everybody offline

I think giving Parents the options is great. Managing children is a hard job, and you have to do it while adult-ing. Add multiple kids in, and those crafty buggers will find ways to try and get around those rules. People don't have to use them, but they
are there for people who do.

It provides an easy way to automate screen time, manage what times they are allowed to play, manage the money in their account, and what level of rated games they can play, among other things. This can be extremely helpful for parents who aren't the most
tech-savvy. People online can be very poorly behaved and allowing these options for parents can help protect them because it can take some time to teach them to navigate and protect themselves on the internet.

If you ask me, they need to add more things and options to help parents. Again, it's an opt in situation and can only help people who want to use them.

I love the parental controls we have! I use that along with the phone app to monitor games and party member's.

But tbh most of the time my little one games beside me and we make it a family thing.

It is possible that renewing the Family Pack was pulled from the rewards program when Microsoft discontinued new sales of it.
