    Hi,

Currently there is only one way to do this at the moment and this is called gamesharing. To do this you log on to your account of the family members device you would like to allow to access all the digital content that you purchase. From there you want to
go into the settings and make that console your Home Console and that is it.

    Thinks to note are:

    • You can only have one home console at a time
    • You can change your home console a maximum of 5 times a year
    • Once you change your home xbox that other person will no longer be able to access the content you purchased

You don't share the games within the "family". The sharing option is when you put your account on another Xbox console and set it as your Home Console.

Note, you can only do this a limited number of times. You may want to setup a passcode for your account if you're going to put your account on a console that is not within your control.

Hey there Zach thanks for taking the time to bring this inquiry to us.

What we suggest is looking into Home Console Sharing, this would allow the account should not need to be signed in on the console and he may use his own account, so long as you are using the Game Share feature. This will share any Xbox Live Gold subscription
you may have, as well as any access to games. Here are a couple of great support articles that will guide you on how to get this in effect:

How to designate an Xbox One console as your home Xbox

Using Xbox Live Gold sharing features on Xbox One

Once you designate your profile as the Home Console profile, there shouldn't be any more problems for him to get into games or use the subscription.

Give this a try and let us know the results.

From what I understand Games Pass isn't a sharable thing, and because Xbox Gold has come with Games Pass it also mustn't be shareable, because of this, Microsoft is rumoured to be bringing out a family plan for Games Pass so it can be shared with family members.

Hopefully this will be officially announced soon as I think a lot of families out there would make use of it.
