Microsoft edge on xbox1

my Xbox1 microsoft edge is not responding at all. Click on it and it just goes to Xbox home screen. Think it caught a virus from movies I watched. What do I do?

Microsoft Edge Playback Old Youtube Video Sound When Not on YouTube

Edge keeps playing the "sound only" of the last video I played. Even when all tabs are closed the sound of this video keeps playing. I've closed out and restarted the xbox1 and everytime I open up edge it takes me to the home page and plays the sound of
the same video I opened up the day before. It just keeps looping.

Second I absolutely hate edge on xbox1. It is the worst. I hated it before the April update and I hate it even more now.

By God I will drop xbox1 over this and move back to playstation.

Edge

When I try to go to Microsoft Edge on my XBox1 I get "we can't connect to the service right now, try again in a little while" (0x80bb001), then when I close that window it says "to browse the web, go home and sign in" but I am already signed in.

Having a corrupted app file is one of the possible reason why your Xbox One Microsoft Edge is not responding. To help you resolve this concern, I recommend that you reset your Xbox One into factory defaults. To do this, you may follow the steps below:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select System.

Select Console info & updates.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console, select Reset and keep my games & apps.

I just bought a blue digital camo xbox1 controller and the edges where the top and bottom of the controller come together are sharp very irritating when playing hours on end.

That's the problem about the Xbox1, it lacks any good hardware, the software will gradually be updated and improved over time, but will the hardware be improved with the Xbox1, most unlikely, if only the Xbox1 wasn't rushed into the market, now Microsoft
has to clean up their mess.

Not sure if you have an update on this issue, but thought I could give you something that the XB team could test to see what I'm talking about

If you test video playback on Xbox One using the Edge browser pointing to http://tv.emby.media

Then try to play something that should direct play, e.g. an mp4 with h264/aac. It will crash the browser back to the dashboard during playback.

The issue started happening with the creator's update

Hopefully the issue has gotten someone's eye as I've seen several threads related to this issue now from several people when trying to stream using Edge on the XB1

Im viewing Facebook, reading the news, or watching a stream.

Gotcha, if it's a streaming service that's mainly causing it, we'd suggest using an app if the site has created one, but does it always happen if you're doing a specific thing or just randomly?

Its random. There sometimes not even a video file involved in what im reading. I know from what i have seen and delt with it a software error. It would be nice if x-box would apply the fix in the next update.
