Microsoft Edge on Xbox One keeps playing Youtube video audio

Whenever I open Microsoft Edge on my Xbox One, audio from a Youtube video I watched on Microsoft Edge will start playing at a random time even if there are no tabs with Youtube open. It's been going on for a while and is getting annoying. Is there anything
I can do to fix this?

Xbox will play audio but freeze the video on youtube and microsoft edge

when i go to watch a video on youtube or microsoft edge the video will go into a 1 second time loop and will stay like that the audio to the video continues though.

 

Video stutter and lag

For the past week or so all my games on my month old 1tb have been running perfectly, but any apps that have video like youtube, twitch, netflix and even any videos looked up on edge have not. The video will start and the audio won't stop, but after about
5 seconds every video on any of the apps mentioned just starts stuttering and repeating itself, whilst the audio keeps going. So confused and it's definitely not an Internet problem. Anyone getting or heard of the same thing? Help would be great, thanks

 

Sorry to hear it. Please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds till it shuts down then unplug it and let it sit for 5 minutes to see if that helps.

If that doesn't work then do a factory reset on the console. There's an option to keep installed games and apps so you won't need to redownload them.

Reset the console

I'd also make sure that your tabs are all closed properly.

Does factory resetting erase game saves?

If you go to your dashboard you should be able to quit out of Edge totally, that should resolve the issue

Not as long as you select the option "reset the console and keep my games & apps."

All the games will then stay installed on your console as they should and all your game progress for the games are attached to your gamertag via the cloud, so as long as you make sure you can sign into that gamertag with the progress you're looking for,
you should be good.
