Microsoft Edge issues

Microsoft edge has infinite sync that is really annoying!

 

I cant even load the live rewards page on this browser. And the go back a page button has to be pressed multiple times to go back. Seems like this day in age rushing untested unfinished product is the norm.

 

edge is a mess of crashes, lag and control issues on xbox. no really a good way to introduce users to either. I hope edge is at top of fix list.

 

Edge is a massive downgrade from i.e. Can a Mod confirm if its being looked at?

Ive hard booted and reset my console so I can do without being told to do that.

I also cant snap any apps on the side or edge like you could with i.e.

MS EDGE does not support extensions/add ons, so that may be your problem. I would allow for IE 11 on Xbox 360 and Xbox 1, because EDGE is buggy, is NOT as secure, and does NOT allow for customization of the environment. EDGE is a piece of trash, and as
a user of 2 windows 10 based PC's I don't use edge, and I prefer to use other bowsers, because of stability problems, and also security issues.

EDGE was rushed, as was some of the parts of this update - You cannot expect your uses to embrace a system update which is FORCED on them, and then to give them a browser or an experience which is so bad that you have to start uninstalling and reinstalling
or master resetting your console because an update broke the system, and as such bricks a console.

Lucky for me, I have all of my games backed up, and I also have all of the apps I use on the Xbox 1 PINNED to the pins screen - This way, as I need an app that was NOT previously installed, I can get it, and those which are pinned but NOT installed, can
be installed in seconds, PINNED and launched.

I had to reset my console simply because of an AUDIO problem that could NOT be dealt with by the support team - That can be annoying, when they make the NXOE sound really cool, only to find that functionality (such as the Mic icon under messages, is only
available there, rather then in Friends>send message)

My xbox one is doing OK Now, but wish there had been more testing and tinkering with this new experience before dropping it on everyone

I have also seen youtube videos that say how bad EDGE is, and it is so bad that there are programs out there designed to REMOVE Edge from Windows PC's. If Edge was designed for Windows PC's or XBOX 1, it was poorly designed, and leaves you wondering what
Microsoft was thinking - They simply could have allowed IE 11 to be installed and forget EDGE - ESPECIALLY when Edge does NOT have any support for add ons or seems to be incomplete - I would NOT use EDGE for anything - Give us a Real Browser!!! NOT a Broken
down, non-working, crippled version of a new browser which does not work!!!

Id rather surf the web on a potato than on Edge. Probably would be a better experience.

 

Video Player for Fox News not working, I wanted to watch the debate tonight. Edge is a chunk of kaka...

 

Tried to start a new thread on this but it kept crashing back to the dashboard so I gave up. Looks like ill have to buy my tablet back as this browser is a nightmare.

Any chance MS can look into this because its not right that the Xboxs browser is worse than a standard smartphone.

 

I notice this thread was started right after the *** update but theres been zero response from anyone official in all this time, I'm really getting *** tired of my pages randomly zooming in and out for no *** reason. maybe these *** curse words will grab
their attention.....

 

Im getting *** tired of edge crashing to the dashboard. The support from MS is shocking imo. The fact they call this an all in one system is a joke. its only good for gaming as everthing else is below par.

I feel like you cant turn anywhere when you have issues with your Xbox.

I sold my laptop before the one came out because I thought with so much ram I will just use the Xboxs browser. What a massive mistake that was.

Very unhappy with MS at the moment.

 

my microsoft edge isn't infinitely syncing any more instead its just crashing non stop every 10 minutes fix this crap microsoft

 

Mine crashes all the time and being the only device in my house to surf the web its infuriating. The only reason I sold my other devices is because MS advertised this as an all in one entertainment device but apart from gaming it falls short at every turn.

I can only think that the lack of support is down to the fact they cant fix it. Very bad customer service indeed.

 

the infinite synch is over but now it keeps crashing every 10-15 minutes which is still really annoying but at least i can use it now
