Microsoft Edge issues

Hey guys,

I use the internet explore quite a bit to stream videos and what not but I found that the new Microsoft Edge on the console doesn't allow for websites scripts to run properly, such as trying to pop out a video player, switching to fullscreen, or even getting
the video to play. Streaming HTML5 formatted video files used to be a breeze now its impossible. I hope this is an issue that can be resolved soon, if not an option should be made available to revert back to the original Internet Explorer.

Microsoft Edge Issues

experiencing issues with the Edge app when I'm on it for like 30 min to an hour. Sometimes it says that there was a problem and I should restart my Xbox so I do and it does the same. And sometimes it just crashes and goes to the dashboard. Need help. I've
tried everything it seems.

Same here, I'm not even getting to stream the videos that came with the update to show you what's new. Pissin me off..

 

I wonder if they even beta tested this update? From top to bottom this is a glitchy product.

1} Right stick now either pauses video, or makes the frame repeat fast or slow depending if you are pushing up or down.

2} There is no more volume control.

3} left stick cursor if moved anywhere near the progress bar of a playing video will make video randomly jump ahead.

4} zoom to full screen from left stick click no-longer works

5} right stick scroll function is no-longer use able. Trying to scroll a page with right stick now causes page to randomly zoom.

Oh! and my personal favorite. The Microsoft Xbox support web sight will not work with the new Microsoft The Edge Xbox one browser !

The whole architecture of the new Xbox one experience feel clunky. Access to every function whether game or TV or internet is more cumbersome than it was before. both full screen home, or snapping takes a minimum of 2 extra steps. which is a pain in the
rump when your mouth is full of pizza, and you are reaching for the controller.

give me back my old update until you work the bugs out. If you try to do this fix in patches, I am planning on shelving my Xbox one, and getting a PS4.

 

I have the same problem it stream for like a minute then exits to home screen. Can't thay just give us the option to roll back to Explorer!!!

 

I started a chat with xbox support a few days ago and they are now aware of this problem. They said the will probably fix this in the coming update

 

This update with Microsoft Edge sucks major [Mod Removed]!!!! Never had a problem with watching anything on Internet Explorer and with this update the dash is cool and all but the new MEdge doesn't work properly and can't play the videos
I used to watch or stream and it's awfully laggy and should be reverted back IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!! Plus the God given smart glass doesn't even work anymore on IOS can't scroll and can't do anything doesn't even work on Netflix!!!!!! PLEASE! Fix this problem ASAP!
Or let us revert back manually!!!!

 

I TOTALLY AGREE PLEASE GIVE US THE OPTION TO SWITCH BACK TO REGULAR INTERNET EXPLORER. YOU CANT WATCH ANYTHING ON THIS NEW "EDGE" NEXT UPDATE PLEASE BE BETTER !!!!

 

also you cant snap youtube or now tv on the side of edge like you could with i.e. worst browser ever.

 

I hate that the pop up blocker no longer works I avoided downloading it till I got forced to download the update.

The whole update is more like a downgrade

 

edge now telling me that html5 is not supported when i try to watch a vid

kinda funny it was supported less then 12 hours ago

 

This is trash I can't watch anything now with this weak browser just leave stuff alone my play to stream hasn't worked since I bought my system and now this!! I miss my 360 I never had problems ever Xbox one was a wasted purchase for me I'm so upset and
I had the nerve to buy it day one!!
