    Microsoft Edge HTML5 PLAYER


    After the update on the latest Xbox One firmware, a bug appeared in the HTML5 PLAYER when watching streaming video (IPTV).

    When turning on, switching the flow, the picture should be displayed ~ 2sec. Then the freeze frame ~ 5sec. The sound is, then dies.

    With the flow, all good is tested on different devices right up to MS EDGE PC. Please correct the thanks.

    Why is everyone soo short sighted?

    Microsoft have been going on and on recently about how the future is HTML5. If the reports about the new dashboard are true, it will have a HTML5 front end. There are also lots of rumours about Microsoft investigating free to play games.

    Now, if these games are HTML5, then its quite possible this is a test bed, for the next dashboard/WP7 Mango/Windows8.

    I think they are killing flash altogether in 2020. I do not know if HTML5 support is available in Edge on Xbox.

    If you are using chrome or safari you must use edge or Firefox as they are more html5 compliant for the request a call back

    I don't think you fully understand what the insiders program is

    Edge is a closed browser you CANNOT ever install extensions

    Xbox nor sony runs exes

    The insiders edge is based on chromium which is just a rendering engine which lets it run java script or html5 which does not need extensions as html5 apps can run and increases compatibility though edge is the highest rated browser on its own

    Best bet wait till your website updates their site

    Flash player is not supported on Edge. I don't think it will ever be possible to get Flash onto the Xbox One -- it's becoming a very deprecated standard for online videos and animated media. While Edge is basically a port of the same browser found in Windows
    10, it is a limited experience on the Xbox One since you are not allowed to download files, install add-ons, or customize too many settings.

    Anyway, what you might be looking for is "HTML5". That is supported in Edge; I'm able to watch YouTube videos (as well as interact with the video player buttons) without a problem. If it is YouTube you're trying to watch, you could
    always download the official YouTube app on the Xbox Store for free. If it isn't YouTube, you'll probably have to hope that the video site supports HTML5 for video playback or they have their own Xbox app. Otherwise, I'd just stick to watching the videos you
    want on the computer, tablet, or smartphone.
