Are you 100% sure WalMart was the seller? Amazon will store and ship other people’s merch for example. They, and I’m guessing WalMart will often redirect you to third parties automatically when their own stock is exhausted

Microsoft has no control over other retailers, but I find it unlikely they would be selling over SRP themselves based on my experience with retailers

Microsoft supports products purchased from third parties with warranties and other standard support, but have no ability to influence this issue

They will still cover the console under a manufacturer's warranty if that's what you mean, but since the purchase itself is not made through Microsoft/Xbox they're not expected to handle anything related to that. That would be like purchasing an item in one store and expecting another store to take care of any problems with it.

I was under the impression that Walmart was a retailer of xbox. As stated this purchase was from Walmart directly (sold and shipped by walmart), not a third party through walmart.

Yes ms cannot control free will but they can control retailers not resellers who buy consoles from retailers

Retailers are controlled by price gouging laws but NOT resellers who havr free will

But you forgetting what you are seeing THAT RESELLER isn't WALMART

Resellers on walmart are like Amazon marketplace they may use the website to sell but they aren't the retailer

They are a third party and not under the control of a controlled market like Russia or china
