Just like remote players lock down to make sure that people don't run their own rental service, this is potentially the case here. You would have to contact Mojang for any details on any potential policy. Minecraft piracy is epidemic.

player 1 (has Gamepass/Rocket League) makes Xbox B their Home Xbox then plays on Xbox A

player 2 plays on Xbox B

player 2 can make Xbox A their Home Xbox so that any games purchased on their account can be played by player 1 on Xbox A

You can login to Live with your existing Gold membership, but if you're each on your own Home consoles you will both need your own Live memberships in order to play together over Xbox Live.

Is there anyone that uses your console that has Xbox Live Gold? If so, you can use the party chat feature while that user has the Xbox One console set as their home console or you will need to sign up for Xbox Live Gold. You can refer to our

If your dad gets gold and sets the Xbox as his home Xbox, you won,t need gold on your account anymore.

If you have two xbox's, you can both get gold and you could set yourXbox as his home Xbox and his Xbox as your home. This setup would allow both of you to install/play both games that he owns and games you own on either of the consoles.
