    Xbox One S and Official Stereo Headset Adapter not recognized

    After a tech support chat session with Microsoft I returned the device and requested a replacement. The replacement is now working fine. It appears that my first device was dead on arrival. That is disappointing for a brand new device that arrived in sealed
    box. So bottom line, if yours isn't working, try another controller, and if that doesn't fix the issue request a replacement.

    Yes, it is a little disappointing. But, I'm glad to hear that you were able to get it replaced and that things are working now.

    Okay so it seems you need to add the controller with serial number to your microsoft products at https://account.microsoft.com/devices/ . You can then process the replacement. It was a really easy process and there is no repair but as it is in the 2 year
    warranty period is a straight replacement. Hopefully this one works.
