Microsoft Design Lab controller rubber backing defect

Hello!

My Xbox Design Lab controller that I purchased 8 months ago has a major defect. The rubber backing on the back of the handles are becoming detached. Is there anyway I can get some help with this? I tried going through the "device service and repair"
route but I was given this message

"There are no service options available. For further assistance, contact us."

This seems to be a regular problem with rubber grips, sadly. People are regularly having issues with them coming off of the Elite controller. If it's under warrantly, definitely contact Microsoft/Design Labs again to get it fixed. I have an Xbox Design
Labs controller myself, but without the rubber grips. Sorry you're having issues with them. Hopefully you've had it for a long time at least and got some good out of them so far.

Sorry to hear you're having such a rough time with a controller, I myself own several controllers, and a few of which are from The design Lab. Generally, when I do buy a controller from the Microsoft store I like to get one that is on sale. The design Lab
is nice, for one or two that you just want to use as decoration or casual play. The reason I say this is, the controllers from the design Lab are basic level controllers that have multiple colors, that's it. I have found that the white and black controllers
tend to go on sale more often from the Microsoft store. I like to purchase these, then airbrush, or decal my own designs. If I want a quality controller, that is when I stepped up to the sport series with the rubberized textured grip on the back. Hopefully,
one day I'll be able to get an elite controller.

Thanks. Wished id known it was a basic controller that I was paying extra for before I bought it. And its actually the rubber textured backing that has become detached.
