Microsoft credit balance to buy items in fortnite

Hi,

My son wanted to buy a couple of items on fortnite. His settings require him to ask for permission. I received the email and followed the links adding credit to his microsoft account and giving him permission to spend this in fortnite.

However, he is still unable to buy.

What are we doing wrong?

We are also having this issue. It seems like my son can't use his microsoft account funds to purchase anything for any of his games on Xbox. Rather frustrating.

That shouldn't be a problem but as another resolution, is there a way for you to add a credit card or a debit card to buy the Gamertag change?

The Microsoft balance will still be there and he will be use it in buying games and other items.

With your Microsoft account balance, you can purchase V-Bucks, which is the in-game currency used in Fortnite. With V-Bucks, you can buy items from Fortnite's in-game store.

Jesus, can you read the question I asked. I didn't ask you to tell me to check my balance. I want to know why Fortnite will not let me buy vbucks with my Microsoft balance. The only way I can buy them is with a debit/credit, PayPal, mobile phone, or gift
card. I was told BY MICROSOFT to put a balance on his account to buy this and now i SPECIFICALLY cannot use my balance. Answer the question I asked because I've already checked all the other **** 10 times.
