I hope so, cause the only reason I don't go digital is because my employee discount at gamestop cant be used towards digital purchases... but if the digital were cheaper to begin with I'd say screw it to my discount (except collectors editions).

    :)

If they did lower the price i could see a price war starting.

And it could kill off are remaining game shops in towns centers round the contry.

Thats one of the reasons with i still goto the shop to buy my games and not just buy online

But hay if the price is wright

So far, my brother & I have gone all digital & although we have no regrets so far, it would definitely be great to keep our wallets nice & fat & still filled with cash.

  5. I like having all my games on a shelf for me to see and feel like I truly own 100%. The only thing that will make me change my ways is a significant undercut on the pricing of digital.

  6. That will be necessary, if they want me to give up an asset (the disc).

Considering most games only give you half a manual any more, if any at all. I prefer digital at least for games I know I want and believe to have high replay value

Im still confused why E.S.O is 60 n 15pm,and im pretty sure, we are gonna see destiny follow suit, but surely its standard for years online games are cheaper, fair enough in the 1st year because its all new,but surely MS cannot justify continued high prices
    for DD's.TY for posting OP.

  9. Online games aren't really cheaper.. some may be , but high end ones like those tend to be higher. We may eventually see it go free to play though, since that seems to be the trend. Star Wars: The Old Republic was like, $150 for the collectors edition &
$15 a month when I bought it. I'm pretty sure the base game was around $60.

Good news, I want to get some "keeper games" digital, but I don't think it's fair that they cost the same as disc-based games (or usually even more) without having the liberty to sell them off again. While I love not hassling with discs when it comes to
often played games, I'm not sure if it's worth sometimes 20€ extra with no resell option.

I feel confident that within a year or so.. there will be some sort of program to sell back digital games for credit towards new games...chances are they value will be based on a tier system... tier one are major titles.. tier 2 so so games.. tier 3 will
    be arcade style game...

if and when this happens... all my games being digital, I am good to go, if I want to get rid of say, peggle since I am almost 100%..

the value of what you get for a new game on disc returned after a few months...is well worth the ability to switch games...the fact I dont have to wait on line..., park my car...go to Gamestop etc and drive home...as compared to digital...

In the UK, x1 games are rrp £60, you can get them for £43-£50ish, and trade-in or sell them after. For digital to compete with that, a game like Forza 5 would have to be sub £25 digitally, and M$ recently put Forza 5 digital UP from £45 to £50, so I'm not
expecting a good deal anytime soon.
