Microsoft Considering Automatic DLC Download Feature For Xbox One

Apologies if this has been posted already ( Probably has ) but I've just been reading about it on Twitter.

Remote Downloads

I was expecting the same thing, I was just looking for a marketplace section on the XBL site and hoping to get the new DLC for Battlefield 4 downloading since I'm a premium member. My Xbox One is on standby mode with auto updates enabled, was hoping I could
prompt a download while I'm at work so it's ready by the time I get home. This would be a really useful feature, to sign into your account on the website via mobile or PC while away from your home and purchase & remote download games to your console. I'm surprised
this isn't already an available feature considering all the other things the Xbox One can do.

You can't download any dlc for original xbox games.The old severs were shut down a while back so any online features,including dlc is unavailable now.

That would be useful.

Some of the "Alien: Isolation" DLC came out and I didn't even know it was there.

 

It's an ok option, but why people buy DLC before it's out is beyond me.

 

After reading the article I can see this being a benefit for season pass holders for games as it'll download the content as soon as it available rather than remembering about.

 

Some games like forza and wwe if you seem to have season passes have updating my games not had to download any dlc

 

I would definitely welcome this. Convenience is always welcomed for me

I guess it would be nice but not my most requested feature.

 

i'd simply like instant on auto download to work everytime before this occurs.

 

As long as the feature was off by default, I could see people liking this. First time the X1 downloads anything without my O.K., it would be taken out back and "put down"

Yeah why not means if I have a season pass and there is a DLC I do not need to waste time downloading it.

I would welcome if my Xbox does everything alone and always works when needed.

I do not wanna have to deal with all the update stuff.

I play online so I need a update anyway,

I dont know why it ask me if I wanna update a game, do it and let me play! xD

 

I've noticed a lot of DLC comes in the form of 'updates' which every gamer gets regardless of it they've purchased the DLC or not.

For example, The Evil Within recently did a fairly large update as the DLC is coming out tomorrow, I have this feeling that if I purchase it, I won't have to wait until it's downloaded and it will install almost instantly. I could be wrong though, but Dead
Rising 3 did a similar thing.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind this feature.

 

I was at Major Nelson's live podcast when he addressed this. He stated the concern is with regions and ISPs who have data limits. I'm hoping they do find a work around to make something like this happen though.
