Microsoft is closing even more studios than just lionhead...

Fable Legends Cancelled so close to release

You only need to compare the amount of studios Sony own to what Microsoft own to see that Xbox has no chance of competing with PlayStation where 1st party games are concerned.

They should be opening more studios not closing them.

Compare the amount of studios Sony own to what microft own and it doesn't look good for Xbox.

 

So what will happen to Project Spark?

Also Project Knoxvill looked promising.

Don't understand Microsoft on that decision.

 

Project spark was sort of cancelled a few months ago. They stopped all development on it meaning it will get no more updates. Not sure how long it will be before it get shut down fully.

 

Oh no, does this mean Microsoft will stop making video games and computers?

 

Yeah not looking good I've been an Xbox customer for 15 years, and have been looking in to PS4. Xbox lacking games, also long waits.

 

this is not 100% confirmed on the other studios, still waiting on MS to comment, but rumor is those removed are gone or consolidated.

 

Some of those other studios didnt really do anything. One was set up to make Kinect game but Kinect has turned out to be a bit of a flop and its only use now is Skype, and Kinect sign in. I just hope these closed studios get replaced with new ones that actually
do something

 

their technology though was used in other games, they would experiment with new ideas then those were incorporated. Sometimes their logo was even included in the game that used the tech.

 

well the list of studios got smaller indeed, also like how they point out that the spark server have been offline since 4th march and there apparently investigating, bet they will pull the plug on spark. losing faith very quickly after the past 2 weeks
of live issues, studio closures etc etc.

 

I hope no more studios fall like Lionhead did. Sucks that MS is closing doors on some dev groups. Here's hoping that something good happens soon.
