Microsoft cheated out of $59.99 for xbox gold

After my Xbox gold pass ran out, they froze my account, and would not unfreeze unless I paid for the full year. However, I wanted to pay for the $1.00 for the month deal, but I guess they decide what I pay for , and how much it will be. After trying
over and over again to select the $1.00 "Option " , I accidentally selected the $59.99 option. I contacted the support website, chatted with an agent that assured me that my account was only charged $1.00, but when I checked my bank account it had been charged
$59.99. Now Microsoft sent me an email saying there is no grounds for a refund. So I guess $59.99 is worth more to them than an 18 year faithful consumer!

Xbox Live Subscription

Today I purchased a subsrciption to Xbox Live Gold 12 month for 59.99 €, but now i read on my Consolle that i have i trial subscription for one month.

but I see that Microsoft has taken 59.99 € from my credit card.

What can I do?

I'm sorry but that still makes no sense to me.

A yearly Gold membership here in Canada costs $59.99. I can see no difference between using a credit card to pay the $59.99, paying cash for a year membership card, $59.99, or purchasing the equivalent amount of MSP (approx. 4200 MSP) to cover the $59.99.
Regardless of my payment method the price of a full year is $59.99.

Maybe I'm an idiot but I also fail to understand how doing any of these things would be the cause of myself paying twice or Microsoft losing out on being paid for their product.

Could I possibly get a response from a Microsoft employee? I believe this is a question that others would like answered as well.

 

You can try the
refund request form if you haven't already. Or you would have to continue to work with phone/chat support as they are the only ones that can work with the billing side of your account.

I have chatted with support 3 times , and submitted a request for a refund explaining what happened, and within 48 hours, they emailed me saying I have no grounds for a refund. Even though the first agent I chatted with assumed me that me account was
only charged $1.00...

 

I believe the $1 off was for new members only?

 

Even if that was the case, I did not want to purchase the full year of Gold at this time. I asked for the refund immediately, not days after.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we'll try our best to sort this out for you. It seems your Gold was scheduled to auto-renew, but since that payment didn't go through, the subscription was suspended. This places a balance on the account for
the total of subscription, in this case the $59.99, which of course you were looking forward to the $1.00 deal instead. Depending on when you were charged for the pending balance on your account, cancelling the subscription may provide the option for a full
refund. Check if this shows up on your
Gold Management page. If you do not see this option, a support agent might be able to assist you. In regards to the $1.00 deal, you mentioned you were able to obtain it, was it for Gold or Game Pass?
