Microsoft cancelled Xbox live subscription early! How nice!

Well my subscription was supposed to run out 3/11/15, I went to play today 3/10/15 for my last time and found it was cancelled a day early. This only reaffirms my decision to not renew. I have had my fill of cheaters/hackers and nothing being done about
it. I have filed more complaints about cheaters than I can count and have not seen any impact. In fact if I had to say, I would say it has actually gotten worse. Just take a look on Youtube there are a multitude of cheat and "How to" mod video's on hacking
xbox. Step by step instructions of where to buy and how to install the necessary components to make a Cheatbox. IT'S A GAME PEOPLE! If you have to cheat try poker or your taxes, at least you can make some money instead of just aggravating the people trying
to have fun. So long Microsoft Xboxlive, send me an Email when you resolve the cheating/hacking issue's and I will be more than happy to subscribe again.

How to turn off auto renewal

It is recommended that you cancel your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership using the option of turning off automatic renewal. If auto renewal is "off", your membership will expire at the end of its current term.

Steps to follow:

1) If you are not already signed in, click Sign In at the upper right hand corner and sign in using your Microsoft account.

2) Proceed to My Account.

3) Click Change next to automatic renewal. Change the setting to OFF

You will be able to continue enjoying all the benefits of Xbox LIVE Gold Membership until your paid membership time expires.

Note:

If you want to cancel or disable your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership immediately, you should contact Xbox support. Use the Request a Call from Support option on the official Xbox Contact Us page. Your account cannot be canceled through chat or email.

If you disable your account immediately, you will lose the time remaining on your membership subscription.

If you are on a 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract, and you want to cancel before the end of the 2 years, you will be charged an Early Termination Fee and other applicable taxes. Once the two-year agreement period is over, your account will not be renewed automatically.

You can cancel the 2 Year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract using the option of self-cancel your subscription on Xbox.com

 

Xbox Live hard to cancel

I got a deal when I set up my new profile on a 3 month subscription to Xbox Live. I paid $9.99 for 3 months. Then I forgot to cancel it and they automatically charged my card. I just figured out how to remove the automatic renewal but I have a charge pending for another 3 months. It is so hard to cancel a subscription.

Nope, Apparently I still have access to this forum. I could not get on yesterday and my subscription ends today. Gonna start listing my games and xbox stuff on ebay.

it seems that Microsoft's time is in Australia or something, because everyone's post has times that are in the future. This may explain why they cancelled early for my time cause they were already in the future. I apologize if my desire to get what I have
paid for is insulting. Maybe people should start leaving their jobs at 4:30 and expect to get paid till 5.

It might be reasonable to assume that since I possess the ability to type and operate a computer that I may also have the ability to operate a calendar and a watch.

It happened to me before, but it's probably a small mistake they made. Remember the dates are generated by a system and not a person, so there is a chance a mistake can occur. It's just one day and I understand if may be frustrating, but if you want to play
XBL again you knew you had to get XBL again soon, so why wait right until the last day?

 

This happened to me it's probably a pretty common thing, I was reverted to silver on 1/13/15 when I was watching my membership which said it was good through 1/14/15. Honestly I did feel robbed because I paid for 3 months and got less than that. Mostly
it was just the letdown of having to go to the store to buy a membership before getting online. However you did say 3/10/15 in the present tense when you posted on March 11.
