    I sent my Wireless Series 2 Elite Controller for warranty repair due to faulty buttons and controls. Support asked for my details such as the invoice, which I quickly provided. Soon afterwards I received an email that my service order was cancelled and that
    no further actions are needed. They still have my device.

    They are no longer responding to any emails, and chat sessions are quickly being shut down with "Sorry we could not help you". My 300 AUD controller was essentially stolen by Microsoft.

    How do I get my controller or my money back? I've taken evidence throughout the journey, is my only option now to contact the Australian consumer protection (ACCC)?

    Microsoft do offer a repair service for faulty xbox consoles. The xbox device service offers to repair consoles. If the device is still within its warranty then there is no charge for repair, whereas there is a charge if the device is out of warranty

    Sign in to the Device service and repair page with your Microsoft account credentials.

    Follow the onscreen steps to complete your service order request.

    Even if it's not under warranty to can request a replacement but will have a cost

    If they sent it back due to the damage, chances are they still won't service it via the warranty.

    But, it can still be serviced as an out of warranty device.
