Microsoft canceled my controller order

Probably the same as me mate, they have lost your controller and will come up with some pathetic attempt of an excuse. My controller was sent out two weeks ago apparently, yet they can't track it because the number they have for it does not exist. They
owe me a new console and a new controller, will i get either, i doubt it very much

OK, so typically this will happen if there was a reason that it would not be covered under warranty - for example the controller had been opened up and the seal broken.

If you call Support, they should be able to let you know why this has happened in this instance, it is not something that we on the forums would be able to find out for you.

You can try canceling the order from here:
https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

If the option appears you're going to receive the balance again and you can use it.
If the cancel order option doesn't appear that means the current controller is almost to be shipped and is not possible to cancel the order.

You can try returning the controller as soon as it arrive (If the price is still 43.99, but I think not worth it)

According to the faq section on the
Design labs websitee it is not possible to change the design after an order has been placed.

Can I change my design or cancel my order after placing an order?

Unfortunately not. Your controller starts to be created soon after you submit your order. And since it is customized specifically for you, no design changes are allowed once your order is submitted.

Can I return my controller online or to a Microsoft retail store if I do not like it?

Sorry, controllers cannot be returned for this reason.

Since the DLC dont come out till September you can cancel the preorder then remove your card. Here's how:

If you purchased something from Microsoft Store, you can cancel your entire order or an item in an order before it enters the billing or shipping process.

1. Sign in to your Order history with your Microsoft account. If you have more than one Microsoft account, sign in to each one to check your order history.
2. Do one of the following:
   • If you want to cancel the entire order:
     
     Find the order or pre-order you want to cancel, and select Cancel item next to the order.
   • If you want to cancel an item in an order:
     
     Find the order or pre-order you want to cancel, select Cancel item next to the item, select the check box next to the item, and select the Cancel item button.
3. Check your email inbox for an email confirming the order
