If I fall into any category I'm a PC gamer, I spend more time on Steam than any platform and own 600 plus games there. That's just to give you my background
Your background is unnecessary. I'm a pretty big PC gamer myself apart from my MSI Twin Frozr III R7950 died on me so I have to wait for a new GPU before I can get back into gaming. I'm actually pretty huge into Skyrim modding as most people on the Skyrim forums
will know from my old screenshot thread that showed off a modified Skyrim.

Where did I say otherwise? I stated quite clearly that it was not for games. Read again!

Actually more games have DRM than you think, just not always in the same form as services such as UPlay. There's a multitude of MOBAS and MMO's available on Steam that require to be online always. It's not just Ubisoft games, though I am still waiting for them
to remove UPlay from their titles as it wasn't removed from the new Splinter Cell.

I do not believe they are finished with this yet. I will tell you why. Because of companies/governments moving to make digital content tradeable/resellable, in the EU so that the end user has more rights and control over content they purchase. Whether that
finally comes to fruition or not is a different story, but I would definitely not sit and think Steam are done yet.
I did misread your statement, my bad.

As far as MOBA's and MMO's requiring you to be online, I don't see that as DRM...it would be very lonely if you weren't online ;p

I do, some games don't require to always be online, unless you want to party up (like Warframe, as an example), but I guess we should just agree to disagree.

The EU ruling was to illegalize the prevention of the resale of digital licenses.

So actually, yes. According to European law you are buying the license to play the game, and have the right to resell the license. The wording of the ruling is very precise for a reason, regardless of what you or I may personally think about owning physical
media.

True, but Warframe isn't a MOBA or MMO it's a third person shooter with multiplayer.

7. And in order for the First-sale Doctrine to apply, one has to have actual ownership of the product.

You're right (and neither was I trying to portray it as one), but you can still see the point I was getting at. Not all the games with an always online feature necessarily require it.

Well I like both and I love my xbox one so far which leads me to put in an order for a ps4 now too for when driveclub is out. Best of both worlds for exclusives and can use my mega sli pc for multiplats that are cheaper like assassins creed/bf4 with 8xmsaa.

11. Something that might be more concerning that which console is going to win the "console war" is the end of net neutrality. With everything in our lives pretty much all connected and now with PS Now coming out, Steam Machine, X1, smart TV's, Netflix's,
etc. What will this mean to our connections? More data caps and tiered plans where you have to pay more just to game online? Will we see smaller ISP's close down and nothing move back in thereby cutting off consumers completely? Just things to think about.

Steam does not have a trading system for digital games, it's for "items" in games like Dota2, TF, etc. There is also a market for trading "trading cards" that Steam introduced last year which can be bought with cash. Steam charges a fee so that's
their angle.
Where did I say otherwise? I stated quite clearly that it was not for games. Read again!

Most games on Steam don't have any other DRM other than the license being bound to your account, Ubisoft is one of the few exceptions and they are removing most of it because of the complaints.
Actually more games have DRM than you think, just not always in the same form as services such as UPlay. There's a multitude of MOBAS and MMO's available on Steam that require to be online always. It's not just Ubisoft games, though I am still waiting for them

Steam already looked into trading/sharing and we have the results.

I actually feel bad for the people who feel the need to have a "favorite" console.

Personally if you only owned a 360, a PS3 should have been purchased before you bought a One.

They'll never get to play The Last of Us ( best story of any game I've played in my life ), God of War series, Uncharted series, Ratchet and Clank, list goes on and on.

Gamers should be about the games not the machines we play them on.
Some people they can only choses one console per gen. Because money and living inragments
