MICROSOFT BLOCKING ACCOUNTS!!

Ok so it seems like microsoft is doing security checks all the time. 'To be sure they are dealing with the owner', is their argument...

While you are logging in with your PASSWORD and therefore confirming you really are the owner, they often want you to go through some more steps. WHY?!

As they ask you to give them your phone number so they can send you a code - and this is where trouble comes around - you are not receiving!

How on earth are you capable of confirming who you really are, by typing in a code you didn't get in the first place.

There is security checking and there is overdoing such. A username & password should be enough as long as the IP remains the same!

I've had these annoying issues in the past and now it's my friend...

Why should we buy hardware worth 500$ and pay for xbox LIVE, or in other words, give money to the same company that prevents us from being 'LIVE'.

I, my friend and I'm sure I speak for a lot of people when I say; this is absolutely disturbing and very likely for microsoft to lose customers if it keeps going on like this.

Or is there a way to get my purchases refunded? because I purchased like all the season passes for most of the call of dutys and then I get blocked out of my account.

So I've had this account I've been trying to get back for years that was blocked my Microsoft. I've had the account since like 6th or 7th grade and would really like to get it back because of all the items purchased on this account.
First of all the account email I cant access because it isn't mine its my old friends really old email that he cant get into because when I made the account I didn't have an email. I know to alternate email and have access to that and go to fill out the forums
that require the same info from when you made the account but I keep getting told that I haven't provided enough proof that I am the account holder and I get denied from getting into the account. but like I said I was in the 6th or 7th grade and don't remember
the info I put down for the security questions, previous passwords I've used, and the birthday because at the time I "wasn't old enough to make an account". Is there anything I can do to get this account back?

 

The two step authentication is one of the best inventions microsoft uses to protect your account from being stolen. In times where every week a hacker group gets capable of thousands of userdata it is absolutely necessary to have additional security measures.
Just checking for the IP is simply not working as you are not on the same IP all the time, except you use a static one provided by your ISP which is not usual.

Remember, this kind of authenticationis only necessary when changing essential settings on your account, like payment methods, email adresses or passwords. So to say on items, where it is aboslutely important to verify it's you changing them.

If you do not receive these codes you may have made a mistake in entering your phone number as I never had any issues in receiving these codes on my mobile.

 

I just have the verification app and enter the code that's produced by my phone, I don't get text messages
