    Microsoft Billing department lets anyone use your email and will not help


    Someone is using my email account (I keep getting emails about their xbox live subscription) and they basically said it is my problem and they will not help me resolve issue, my email address has to be removed from the primary email account user (they sued
    mine as a secondary email address). I don't understand why they don't care and refuse to help me resolve issue by either removing my email address or contacting person who is using it and make them remove it. This is a very poor example of customer service.

    My Xbox Live Rewards email address won't update

    We use your Microsoft Billing email to send Rewards emails to. We see that your billing email is different from your current email, which may be why you are receiving emails to the unwanted address. You can find your billing email from your Microsoft Account's
    profile page (https://account.microsoft.com/profile/) under the "Edit your billing info" option.

    I have joined Xbox Live Rewards, why haven't I received a confirmation letter?

    We use your Microsoft billing email for Rewards emails. You can find this information at (https://account.microsoft.com/billing/addresses?ref=amcyourinfo#/). We see that your
    billing email is different from your primary email, so you likely received your message there.

    This is how ms accounts work

    First they have to use an active email or create an ms account email

    Then if they use an external email you must confirm the email which you must have done

    This is a matter for accounts.mictosoft.com not billing who has no control over email accounts

    Xbox one, changed email address, gold member activation

    What you'll want to do is add the account as an alias to your Microsoft Account.

    The steps can be found here.


    If you still have issues with that after adding that account, then I'd recommend logging into the account that had the Gold applied, at
    account.microsoft.com click on Payments & Billing > Order History and find the Gold redemption. From there click on "Get order help" under it and that will take you to a page that
    has details on how to get in touch with the billing department, who would be the best bet to getting this sorted out.

    Please call the XBox Support number for your area and discuss this with the Billing Department. Posting using inappropriate language accusing Microsoft of theft is not going to solve your problem.

    I did respond to them directly by replying to the email I received containing the denial, each day, for about 2 weeks. They never responded though.

    Do you know if this is normal for the Refunds Department? I talked to several people in the Microsoft Customer Service Department and the Accounts & Billing Department and they seemed surprised as well.
