Microsoft Bedrock edition won't launch

I've already tried power cycling my xbox and it doesn't need an update. Every time I try to open Minecraft it goes to the red screen that says Beta like normal but then it kicks me out to the home screen

I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it to fix it, I was worried it would delete my save data but it does not

The thing is, I never had a Mojang account at all only a Microsoft account with windows 10 bedrock edition. I should be able to claim the java edition for free but it won't let me for some reason I even have proof of the purchase for bedrock Windows 10 edition

no, when they launched the bedrock edition they gave it away free for a short time to people that owned the digital version and also to the people who had played it via disc but that stopped years ago, you will have to purchase the bedrock edition for the console.

the legacy xbox one edition was miles better than the pocket edition converted to bedrock edition.

The digital version of Xbox One Edition was removed from the store in 2017 when they launched Bedrock Edition.

Seeing as the gamer has purchased the game last year from the store it would be the Bedrock version.
