Microsoft Announces First 104 Xbox 360 Backward Compatible Games

If Fallout 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider, or Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void aren't what you're looking for this week, perhaps a trip to your back catalog is. Microsoft has announced the first slate of Xbox 360 titles that will be backward compatible on Xbox
One.

The list includes a healthy rundown of Microsoft Studios games, but Square Enix, SNK, Disney, and Ubisoft have also contributed to the roster. Here's what you can play via digital license or disc on November 12:

Microsoft has also confirmed some titles due on the series in the coming months. Regular updates will start in December, and the list will eventually include Halo Reach, Halo Wars, Call of Duty: Black Ops, BioShock, BioShock 2, BioShock Infinite, and Skate
3. Further, all future Xbox 360 Games with Gold titles will be available for backward compatibility starting with this month.

I Thought ALL PREVIOUS GAMES WITH GOLD Were playable after the update?

There aren't really many real games that people will actually want to play.

I agree there are a lot of Arcade games in the list, but that's not Microsofts fault, they approached publishers to allow them to do backwards compatible versions of their games, its up to the publishers to allow it, not Microsoft.

 

South Park the Stick Of Truth should be amusing.

The rest are a waste of time if you own an XBox ONE.

Gears is available on the ONE.

"Fallout 3" is being given with "Fallout 4".

But who in their right mind says "Hang on a second... I could be playing the dated less advanced version of this video game".

Waste of time.

 

It's nice to have it. I never got round to playing South Park as I had sold my 360 and invested in an Xbox One. I also purchased NBA Jam first time round so that's always a good laugh when friends are round. At least it's free.

 

just wondering if anyone knows whether games like Borderlands2/pre-sequel and Mass effect2/3 and more recent transition time games...like GTA5 or perhaps any bioshock games are being slated for backward compatability???

 

Why would GTA 5 be in the backward compatibility programe when it's on the Xbox One ?

You mention borderlands the pre sequel, well again the game is already on the Xbox One ?

There's a list of games and you can votell for them, will need to use Google to find it.
