    Microsoft Working On Improving CPU Performance On Xbox One & 360,Cloud Compute & Adva

    So Microsoft is working really hard on boosting the speed on Xbox One & 360,Cloud Compute & Advanced Techniques. Do you think that this would help the sales of the Xbox one consoles in any way?

    They are working really hard to boost the Xbox one I hope that the sales will also be boosted as well. What are your thoughts?

    Here you go, the system reserves 10% of it's GPU or CPU towards Kinect, I don't know what your talking about but Microsoft reserved this power for developers to play around with and put that power back into the system. So the system is essentially 8-12%
    faster or quicker and produces better frame rates. My idea is based off of what Microsoft did they have other entities of the system wrapped up using percentage's of the CPU/GPU for non-gaming factor's like the Multi-Media aspects of the System like Skype
    and other applications that draw on power from the CPU or GPU. I would like a way for Microsoft or for me to re-allocate this power into a more of a gaming platform or if you like watching movies or talking to people through Skype your video calling would
    be second to none with the Kinect. I believe this would help the Xbox become more of what is was designed to be into the original 2 systems Microsoft was thinking of developing, except you get to essentially choose which Identity you would want instead of
    buying a different console. Also Microsoft would not have even emailed me back if this wasn't possible, they just did this and I believe more power can be re-allocated the question becomes how much before the system crashes I get your concerns but this was
    just done and not taken from the Kinect but it's own systems CPU or GPU on the Xbox One..

    I can just see it now, the arguing between XB1/PS4 owners will stop but it will just be XB1 owners arguing,

    The ones without Kinect, " My game is 1080p"

    The ones with Kinect, "Why's mine only 900p?"

    LOOOL lofty. i reckon what it will mean is unplug ur kinect for certain games its only 10percent though so i cant see much diff

    That 10% would almost certainly mean, as an example, Watchdogs being patched to at least 900p though.

    I think it more likely that if a game wants to make use of that power then the Kinect features would be disabled during that game.

    That way no matter if you have Kinect or not, you'll be getting the same game.

    @voteDC - They'd have to allow the user to make the choice, though. Some of us don't want to give up Snap or other voice features while playing a game...

  11. Wait what happened to that Cloud thing? Surely you dont have to unplug your kinect to get a 10% boost in performance when you have the infinite power of the Cloud right?

    Ms have already advised they were looking into reducing the power dedicated to Kinect from 10% down to 2%....

    This change will be across the board, regardless of whether you purchased your X1 with or without Kinect.

    Agreed ^ I think when they make announcements like this they should really address it with as much easy-to-understand info as possible. Just to dispel the incoming and upcoming rants. Given the choice between a small boost in performance or voice commands,
    I would side with my voice commands. I have grown too use to them lol.
