  1. Microsoft and Facebook, make a deal and bring compatibility for VR Oculus and Xbox.

Microsoft and Facebook have partnerships with their gaming departments. Facebook is selling a stand-alone VR headset Oculus Quest 2 headset that is only $299.99. The headset is starting to gain mass appeal. The greatest thing about it is you can also hook
it up to your PC, and play things from steam in the PCVR library which gives you access to the new Starwars, No Mans Sky, and Elite Dangerous games online, to name a few id be interested in. I know Phil Spencer hinted at the possibility of Oculus coming to
XB1X when it was announced, but then said they dont want to focus on that later down the line because it doesnt bring people together or some nonsense. Some fabricated excuse probably for another problem in making a deal stick with Facebook. Facebook has their
own Oculus store with games like Population one which is an online Battle Royale game. That can play straight of the Oculus Quest 1 & 2 without needing a PC. However it plays better when hooked up to a PC. As would it play and have better graphics if it was
hooked up to a XB1X or a XBSX. So what the heck went wrong with that deal Microsoft? Sony themselves shown theres a market with 5 million sold already, Facebook has brought the most bang for you buck with bringing out the Oculus Quest 2 for $299.99 making
easier to ever to jump into VR. If Microsofts excuse is playing VR will alienate us from people in our own houses, i got news for them a lot of us are already alienated from people when we are playing games at home. This is such an untapped potential for expanding
the choices gamers have on the Xbox platform. The Microsoft had no problem take a gamble on the lame duck Kinect, yet when they obviously have a better chance with Virtual Reality. At this point its proven that VR is not a gimmick product like Kinect. Phil
Spencer goes around like a saint preaching about gamepass and he says they ask themselves how they can bring more value to gamers. Well, for people who have both Oculus VR headsets and Xboxes, the xbox division isnt bring any value to us thats for sure. Yet
the Xbox division can put down 7.5 billion on aquiring two studios inorder to help promote their subscription model? Thats what it really comes down to on that front. Yet when something truly innovative comes like a funtional VR experience yet they want to
sit this one out? There has to be something going on beneath the surface. And im pretty sure for some technical MONEY reason microsoft and the xbox division is holding off cause theirs something their they cant capitalize on. Not sure what that is to be honest.
I thought about facebook not wanting to bring their VR headset over to Xbox because maybe they want to have their game store become successful in its own right but i doubt thats the case because they have a deal with steam PCVR. Therefore, this logically leads
me to believe the hold up is with Microsoft and it has something to do with them not brining in truck loads of cash. I'm just gonna call out Phil Spencer and say you claim to ask yourselves how you can bring more value to you customers, well you have gamers
on Xbox and who own Oculus Quest 2 that dont own a PC. I have a lot of games already bought on the xbox plateform which have VR capabilities. How about you guys take you mind off your golden goose game pass and bring that line of thought over to people like
me who have a VR Oculus brand headset and hundreds of games already on Xbox?

    :)

So What Do You Think Of Microsoft's VR Headset?

Ghostz VR is hardware not software! Oculus Rift is the original blueprint and has most likely been in development longer. But it won't be compatible with the One and PS4 and no nothing against Microsoft. Just annoying that you praise this and that about
    Microsoft without thinking.

You take every posting from me as a threat to Microsoft and as this is a hardware thread games don't come into it.

This is the race to bring VR to the masses again and once again MS is last to the party. Which doesn't make a lot of sense, like I said VR combined with Kinect could have a impact for MS!

When is VR support coming to Xbox?

I'm hopeful that they will bring support for it in the next xbox . Fingers crossed.

Even if Microsoft dont want to do vr support for oculus or similar would be good . 👍

Can I use Oculus Rift & Touch on Xbox One S?

The Xbox One S was never mentioned for VR gameplay.

When they first announced the more powerful Xbox One X, they mentioned, it would be powerful enough for VR, but didn't mention which VR hardware would be compatible with Xbox.

Then, shortly before the Xbox One X was launched, the VR feature was removed from any marketing materials.

I own the Oculus Rift, and I can confirm that it does NOT work on the Xbox One X (or any other Xbox One for that matter).

So short answer: No you can NOT use Oculus Rift on the Xbox One at all.

Virtual Reality for Xbox one? PlayStation has it, anyone heard anything for Xbox?

Yep Microsoft and Oculus have been working together for some time. Also at the Microsoft briefing last week they announced a partnership with Acer and lenovo both will be making a VR headset for $299. To work with Windows 10 with the creators update next
year. Were Xbox wasn't mentioned with this they have said that Scorpio will support VR with any VR headset in the past
