    Microsoft Actually Stole from Me. No, I'm not joking. Where's my Game?


    As a person who PAYS for an Xbox LIVE subscription, I expect the benefits that come from being a member, like the free games with gold program. Assassin's Creed Syndicate was a free game of the month on April 16th, 2018. I downloaded the game, complete the entire game, have 670 gamerscore, and am apparently #1 for Assassinations amongst all my Xbox friends.

    I had to uninstall the game to make room for other games.

    I tried to install it recently and it didn't work. The download wouldn't start, then the game disappeared from my owned games entirely. Now I have to buy the game to install it.

    This is theft.

    I paid 25 dollars for an Xbox LIVE Gold membership to download the game. I own the game. Now I can no longer download it and I can contact support and have them tell me I have to buy it? I already "bought" it.

    This is theft.

    you don't own any of the gold game that are xbox one games, you only get to keep and use the xbox one games while you are subscribed, if you stop subbing you lose access, when you sub again you get them back, the 360 games you get to keep, been like this since the program started on xbox one years ago.

    subscription issues.

    The best way to request a call back from a member of our support team is from the Contact Us section on the bottom of any of our support pages.

    1. Sign in at xbox.com.
    2. Select Contact Us.
    3. Choose your category. (In this case, Billing & accounts.)
    4. Select "See other options" when presented the virtual agent.
    5. Pick a topic. ( In this case, I'd go with Payment & Billing, then Show contact options.)
    6. Select to Request a call from Support.

    Those steps will get you to a real person who can assist you further.

    Have you tried signing out then back in again this sometimes happens and needs a refresh. If it doesn't give you the membership Microsoft will not take the money out. You can always check by logging in to xbox.com and checking purchase history.
