Microsoft Accounts App

Hi everybody

Just wondering why purchases can not be linked to the phone accounts app for verification. I manage my son's account and I think it would be a good idea to be able to get a notification when he wants to purchase points, coins or whatever and can either
accept or decline.

At the moment I've had to remove payment options coz of unauthorized in game purchases "very unfair system" in my view. I find more convenient to just have payment details attached to the account rather than buying top up cards. I know MS can implement a
better system. Apple do it with their children's accounts.

Do i need xbox live

To rent or buy films? I'm not sure you do need to buy a Gold account. Silver would do for that, surely? Silver accounts are free.

And no one needs to pay more than about £30 annually if they ever did want to subscribe to Gold, which is £2.50 per month.Click to expand...

The £3.33 is the amount that Microsoft use.

You might be amazed at what apps require gold.

There are a few potential solutions to remove a Microsoft account from an app that does not have an option to sign out:

Revoke the app's access to your Microsoft account by going to the Security settings in your Microsoft account and removing the app from the list of connected apps.

If the app stores the login information locally on your device, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to clear the saved login information.

If the app uses a token to access your Microsoft account, you can try revoking the token by going to the App settings in your Microsoft account and removing the app from the list of authorized apps.

Same exact issue. After updates to Windows 8.

Things I've tried: Reinstalling apps. Restarting Windows, repeatedly. Removing app access to microsoft account, adding app access back. Logging in to windows as microsoft account. Downloading/installing apps while logged in as either microsoft account
or local account. No dice.

Anyone?

Have you changed the account signed on the app or the Microsoft store app?

Please check logging out of the Xbox app, EA app and Microsoft store app, after this restart the PC and log back in remember that the account linked to EA must be the account that has the subscription active and the same must be logged in the Microsoft store app

Hi Syxxer,

It's likely that the login status of the Microsoft Account which has the active subscription changed from the Microsoft Store app. I'm pretty sure the Xbox (beta) app uses the account signed into the Store app for verification purposes.

Open the Microsoft Store app and click on the profile icon in the top right corner. Confirm that the correct account is logged into the Store and then verify it is the same account you are logged into the Xbox (beta) app.
