    On behalf of my sister:

    When logging into her Microsoft account on the Minecraft launcher on her desktop, it forced the creation of a new account instead of logging into her actual account, which has, in a way, duplicated her Microsoft Account. This has overwritten her old account, and has taken away her ability to play the game as the purchase was associated with the old account.

    She now has two gamer tags, the old one is still signed in on our Xbox Series X but she cannot get into it any other way.

    This new one is what signs in on the website and anything she has signed in on since.

    Does anyone know how I can help her recover the old account, the new account she was forced to make is asking for her to buy Minecraft again even though she already owns it.

    Why not buy a subscription from 1 of the websites ?

    I know you were wanting to use your microsoft balance but you can get a 12 month sub for like £25 or you could the other day.

    Be cheaper too.
