Microsoft Account Wallet/Credit Card Online Purchasing

I recently browsed for free/discounted 360 games that were faves of mine in the past & excitedly found a few. Proceeded to fund my MS account's wallet intending to buy these games. Then to my disappointment was refused purchasing them without a credit card!
Seems pretty convenient that after this (and the ending of current sale/discounts) a fine print stating the now need for CC to purchase 360 titles (I know for a fact that fine print was not previously present). Microsoft has my $$$ so how difficult must it
be to allow our MS accounts ability to buy 360/etc games. Instead of making this so damned frustrating to the faithful Microsoft customers why not have this portion more streamlined. Just saying...

Solution 1: Check your billing address

Solution 2: Contact your bank or financial institution

Here are the reasons why the Xbox LIVE purchase might have failed:

• Your credit card has not been activated
• You have insufficient funds in your credit card
• Your credit card does not accept online purchases or automatic billing
• The credit card company is blocking your credit card from being used

You should contact your bank or credit card company to confirm that the credit card is active, it has sufficient funds, and it is not being blocked for any reason.

If you have confirmed that all these are in order, try the following solution:

Solution 3: Try your purchase again later

Here are some of the reasons why the Xbox LIVE purchase might be blocked:

• Recent purchase attempts have been declined several times
• You are using the Xbox LIVE account or payment option from an incorrect location
• You may have a non-payment violation on your payment option, so it is being prevented from making new purchases

Whenever there are several purchase failures, it can prevent new transactions from being processed until after a certain period. You should wait and try again after 24-48 hours.

Another option is to buy a prepaid Microsoft Points card from a retail location and use it to make your Xbox LIVE purchases. Not all purchases allow for the use of Microsoft Points or prepaid options. Make sure that the purchase you want to make allows for the use of Microsoft points or prepaid cards.

I have an Amazon Credit Card, so I buy PSN/Microsoft gift cards from Amazon because I get cash back for them.

I'm surprised by all the people putting their straight up checking account online. Credit card is one thing, but debit card? Microsoft does have good secruity...but you never know.

There are only one way to purchase 360,games with currency

That is only thru a Xbox 360 console

The 360 web marketplace was.never updated to use currency

Only.the xbox one can use currency either webmarketplace or console for Xbox one

You didn't read the terms and conditions

To use currency you must use the 360 for bc titles with currency or a credit card on file for Web purchases via bc
