[Microsoft Account] Verification Code via SMS not Getting Sent

I believe that the number isn't one of your account aliases, therefore it won't show under Account info. The system verification type you're getting there must be the verification procedure when the system asks you to verify your account because you're trying to access the sensitive information and settings of your account.

You may try to go to https://account.microsoft.com > Security > Advanced security options. You should be asked to verify your account when you click on it. Let me know if it's still the same issue.

I also suggest to try to do it on your other devices or internet browser.

usually verification codes are sent through email or sms. if you can't find it contact support.

That did not help. What i was trying to say is that that when i try to add mobile phone payment as a payment option, microsoft says that they will send me a verification code to my number via sms to confirm that it is me, however i never actually receive
this code.

I'm so sorry for what you're going through, Sign in to the Advanced Security Options page of your Microsoft account. Expand the verification option and select Remove.

If that option does not work, I recommend checking your spam folder, the code may arrive.
