Microsoft Account Temporarily Suspended

Hi,

I'm really hoping someone can help me with this. My Microsoft account has been "temporarily suspended" for reasons unknown. I know it's not due to any issues on XBOX Live since I have contacted them, and my account is in good standing.

I have tried several recovery techniques, including the lengthy form-based recovery, however it was unsuccessful, I suspect due to my using PayPal for purchases, so not being able to provide credit card details, and the fact that I never send emails from
the account, so couldn't provide recent contacts or subjects.

The account in question is not the account I have made this post from, obviously, because otherwise I couldn't sign in to post it...

From what I can understand from several hours worth of telephone calls, it's due to something that happened with the Hotmail email address to which the account was attached. I don't know the nature of the violation, and no one I have spoken to can tell me.

Very frustratingly, two telephone calls to support, both of over an hour in length, resulted in a "sorry, there's nothing Microsoft can do to help you" response.

The thing is, I have had this account since 2005. I have used it for digital XBOX purchases amounting to thousands of dollars. It is also attached to an Office 365 subscription and an associated 1TB OneDrive account. So I don't have access to thousands of
dollars of purchases, and the OneDrive account was meant to be secure, reliable, available, redundant storage I could rely on... so I don't have backups of the data, and I don't cache it locally.

If it is a question of identity, I am happy to turn up in person to a Microsoft Store with my passport, drivers license, credit cards, recent bills, etc.

If someone in Microsoft could please, please, (please!) help me sort this out, I would be very grateful. Posting here was the last suggested option from any of the people in customer support I spoke to at Microsoft.

my microsoft account was temporarily suspended for 2 weeks and nothing to free it what I do already I spoke with microsoft support but they do not help

 

Account Temporarily Suspended

Yes, a temporary suspension will automatically be lifted after its expiration date without action from you, but unfortunately I and others here on the forums won't have insight into which date that would be or the reason for it.

A typical first-time suspension is often 24 hours, so try again after that period has elapsed, but it depends on the offence; it could be 48 hours, a week or maybe longer.

 

If you believe his account was compromised, you would need to contact support and have them start an unauthorized access investigation. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or Contact Us | Xbox Support

Unfortunately I have already done this, although I didn't ask for an unauthorized access investigation, because I don't know that that's what has happened. They simply couldn't tell me the reason.

I basically need to get the issue escalated somehow, and the only way they could suggest for me to do so is post it here in the hope that the right person will see it.

Unfortunately the XBOX team is unable to help me due to the problem being with my Microsoft account, rather than an XBOX Live enforcement issue. The person I spoke with there pointed me to answers.microsoft.com as the only remaining avenue to get the issue
seen by someone who can do something about it (I have tried all the online recovery tools, and exhausted telephone support options).

I suspect I have posted the issue in the incorrect forum, so will try again in a different one. It was unclear where it should go, since I couldn't see one specifically for Microsoft Account issues.

I have been locked out of my account still not sure why and nothing I have spent hours doing sorts it out, this is just pathetic to those at Microsoft - I have had the account for about 10 years or so answered all sort of questions
correctly and entered your codes dozens of times and still nothing - this is pathetic and I am going to use Gmail now - anyone would think I am trying to break into fort knox - absolutely ridiculous!!!!!! dont bother to notify me as I cant access any responses
