    Microsoft Account Locked


    My partners account has been locked, he cannot even log in to join the community to try and get assistance - so I am using my account to sign in.

    Even though I try and unlock it and I fill in the form and get a message saying Excellent! The information you submitted for ??*****@hotmail.co.uk has
    been verified. Click this link to reset your password, which I do, I then get the following message,

    Your account has been locked

    We’ve detected some activity that violates our Microsoft Services Agreement and have locked your account.

    Unlocking your account
    To unlock your account, you’ll need some additional assistance. Navigate to "aka.ms/compliancelock" and we’ll get you to the right place.

    Again I fill in the form and get a message saying they have received my inquiry, we never get any response.

    It has been over 7 days now, we have X box one and hundreds of pounds worth of games downloaded onto this account.

    It is an extremely frustrating position to be in and if anyone has any advise as to how we can get this sorted it would be appreciated.

    Hi,

    Sorry about that issue and i can understand your frustation cause i was in the same case few years before for one of my daughters account.

    The thing you try is correct but sometimes with many account on a computer is hard for the system ( Microsoft side ) to know which account is locked even if you put the correct email ( example you are on your Windows 10 account but you put all details about
    the locked one… Cookies and co are in conflict…). So i suggest you to do what i did in the past :

    - Log into Windows 10 with the locked account (its very important)

    - Go to > https://support.microsoft.com/help/...nlock-your-microsoft-account-or-outlook-email
    follow all steps

    You should get an answer within 24-72 hours
