    Microsoft Account Hacked and Email Changed: How do I get my Account Back?


    This is obviously for a different account than the one I am posting on. I fell for a phishing scam and gave away a one-time password thinking I needed it to sign in to a platform. Now, my email has been changed, so the Microsoft "Recover your account" feature says my Microsoft account does not exist. I used this account to gaming accounts requiring a Microsoft account, namely Minecraft and Xbox, and so I can provide proof of ownership of those accounts if that can help prove ownership of the account. I am also still signed in to my Microsoft accounts in a few features on my Windows computer, but trying to use them prompts a screen to re-sign in. I can show screenshots of these to prove ownership of the account under the old username or email.

    The default Microsoft support automated lines don't seem equipped to help with this sort of case. I am hoping I can get in contact with a member of Microsoft support this way and see if there is any proof of account ownership I can provide, similar to the "Recover your account" form, that could prompt someone to help me get my account back. If someone at Microsoft is able to query accounts by old emails, Xbox username, or any other metrics that would be a huge help. Thank you for any assistance.

    the hacked manage to delete the email i use for that microsoft account and changed his/her email as primary email,
    and also hacker manage to remove my phone number from the account also.
