  1. Microsoft account family settings

When I first got Xbox Live, I was never asked to type in a password for 18 plus games. But for a while now I have been having to do that and it's getting on my nerves, I can't see that I am a family member or child on my microsoft
account, and I am 18. I don't remember having my account linked to a parents, so how do I stop it from asking me? Any help would be appreciated.

    :)

    Hey MatteoBroglio,

Considering you are restricted by family settings, you must be under another guardian. Go check out your family settings on your Microsoft account: Microsoft account | Your family

When I try to load up call of duty is says I need to request permission from my family. But I’m not apart of a Microsoft family and my correct birthday is in my account which is 2005.

    Hello Luke Schwarting,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

It sounds like what you're experiencing is related to Microsoft Home Security Settings or Parental Controls. Even if your birthday is set correctly in your Microsoft account, the system may think you are a restricted account for some reason. This issue usually occurs with accounts under the age of 18 or with Parental Controls set up.

    1. Verify account age and family settings
Ensure that the birthday in your Microsoft account is correct and that the system is not mischaracterizing your account as underage. If necessary, recheck and update the birthday information.
Go to the Microsoft account management page at https://account.microsoft.com.
Verify that your birthday is correct in your personal information. 2.

    2. Review and Modify Family Settings
If your account is associated with Microsoft Family, you may be restricted even if you are not a member of the family. You can check to see if such a setting exists:
Go to the Microsoft Family Security page at https://account.microsoft.com/family.
Check to see if there are parental settings (which may restrict your access to games or specific content).
If you are a family administrator, you can set your account as an adult account or lift the restrictions.

You can also contact the support staff of the corresponding game to find out why.

    Best regards

    Overwatch Workshop and Parental Controls?

    Try to go to
    https://account.xbox.com/settings
and sign in with your Microsoft Account. If you get a page explaining how to add a child account to the Microsoft Family settings, you have a child account.

In that case, have your parent sign in with their adult account on
    https://account.microsoft.com/family
and add your account to the family.

Then the parent has to go to https://account.xbox.com/settings and sign in with their parent account. They should then see your account.

There in the settings, have them set to allow you to see content created by the community.

How do I make my child the adminstrator on his laptop in Microsoft Family?

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    Good evening

Family Organizer Account: Ensure that you are logged in with the Microsoft account that serves as the Family Organizer. Only the Family Organizer has the authority to manage family settings.

Family Safety Website: Visit the Microsoft Family Safety website (https://account.microsoft.com/family/) and sign in with your Family Organizer account.

Account Management: Locate your child's account within the family group and click on it. Look for options related to account management or permissions.

Admin Privileges: Review the settings and permissions assigned to your child's account. There might be an option to grant administrative privileges or elevate their account to the administrator level.

I cannot change security settings on xbox.com

Hi LukaBakoc! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

You need to be on a Microsoft family as child's account cant view their privacy settings an adult is required to add him to a Microsoft family here

    https://account.microsoft.com/family/

After the adult account creates the family and adds the minor's account to his family In order for you to be able to play multiplayer, you must change the privacy settings of your account. It can be done here

Two gamertags (two kids) on one Microsoft Account?

    Hi April,

Thanks for reaching out to us in forums with this issue. When it comes to accounts for Xbox/Microsoft, there is no way to merge two accounts into a single account. If you would like to be able to monitor both accounts, you can use Family settings to designate
them as part of your Family by listing them as child accounts with your own account as the parent one. Here are some handy support articles that can guide you and provide you with information on how to set up a Microsoft family account:

I hope that this information helps you out!
