Microsoft Account doesn't work on Xbox One

Hey everybody!

I bought myself a Xbox One 500GB + FIFA 16 Bundle yesterday. FIFA is in a digital version so I wanted to activate the code in the Store. It said something went wrong and that I should try again. I did but with the same result. Further I cannot download Apps
(e.g. YouTube, Netflix, ...) with the same reason mentioned above. I checked my Internet connection but the Xbox One settings said it's all okay. So I thought it might be a problem with my Microsoft account which I already used in times of Games for Windows
Live und also on my Xbox 360. To check my assumption I created a new Microsoft account and logged in on my Xbox One. Suddenly I was able to download Apps I'm sure if I would try to activate FIFA on the new account it would work. I am not sure whether my account
is too old or something but I don't want to give it up and use the new one.

Maybe someone has experiences with this problem and knows a solution. Thank You in advance.

Can't connect to xbox live

If that doesn't work, try signing out on your Xbox One then signing back in, hopefully it will ask you to verify your Microsoft account password and solve your problem.

Well, you could log into the profiles on your Xbox, combing through them one by one and viewing their Microsoft Account email in Settings --> Account --> Account Security, then using those emails with their respective Microsoft Account passwords, log into
xbox.com/account and click the link to cancel your auto-payments. And if that doesn't work, you can contact Xbox Customer Support for assistance.

can you check if all information on your account is correct at
http://account.live.com and at
http://billing.microsoft.com

If all is correct/update please try your account again on the Xbox One console to see if all is fine.

If it still isnt working then you may need to contact Xbox Support, so they can take a more indepth look into your account. To contact Xbox SUpport use

I didn't change anything and just tried it again this morning and suddenly it worked.

I have no idea where the problem could have been.

https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/my-account/microsoft-account/forgot-microsoft-account-solution if it doesn't work, then your only option would be to purchase the dlc again.

If you still have your Xbox 360, then the email address should be on there, and you will be able to reset the password, and then use it to log in on the Xbox One to download the dlc.

Additionally, no one either in the forums or other support channels will be able to check or free up the tag for you. If it's not taken, it could be reserved by Microsoft for whatever.

Really the only option you have is to test an account. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work.

Hi, doesn't work in the same way.

On PC it's a bit more different.

For this you need to sign in with your Microsoft account on both Microsoft store and Xbox app.

Make sure to enable offline permissions inside Microsoft store > settings

After that you need to download first the desired games with your account using the Xbox PC app and the you can sign out and sign in with your brother's account.

(But this doesn't work for all games)
