Microsoft Account being monitorized?

I understand that you recently purchased Minecraft again, but when trying to sign in, you’re being shown a Russian email requesting verification — not the email address you used for your new purchase. You've changed your password multiple times, but this suspicious email still shows up, and you're unsure how to remove it to play the game. Let’s break this down and work through it step by step.

1. First, sign in to the Microsoft account you used for the new purchase

Go to this page and log in using the email you bought Minecraft with:

https://account.microsoft.com

Once signed in:

Click on “Payment & Billing” > “Order History”

Double-check that Minecraft shows under your recent purchases

This confirms you’re in the correct Microsoft account.

2. Check for unfamiliar aliases or linked emails

Still in the same account, go here:

https://account.microsoft.com/profile

Scroll down and select “Manage how you sign in to Microsoft”

You’ll see a list of all emails/aliases connected to that account

If the Russian email appears here, it may mean the new account was also compromised or mixed up with the old one. In that case, you'll need to remove the alias (if possible) or submit an account recovery request.

If no Russian alias appears, then the problem could be that:

Sometimes your PC, console, or browser keeps login info for old accounts — especially if you used auto sign-in or saved credentials.

Try this:

Open the Xbox app or Minecraft Launcher

Sign out fully (look for your profile picture > Sign Out)

Then sign back in using the email of the account where you verified the new Minecraft purchase

Also go to Settings > Accounts > Email & Accounts on Windows and remove any unknown Microsoft accounts listed there under "Accounts used by other apps."

If the Russian email keeps appearing even when using the correct account, could you confirm:

Are you playing on PC, console, or mobile?

Do you see this Russian email during sign-in, or only after logging in?

When you reset your password, which email address are you resetting — the new one or the old compromised one?

Does the Microsoft Headset allow mic monitoring? I bought the TB XO7s and there is no mic monitoring. It drives me crazy not being able to hear myself speak.

Mine is perfect and is is the official cable Microsoft one being used on a £250 Samsung 22 inch monitor.

This is a known issue and being investigated by Microsoft can you please monitor the
status page for updates on this.

You can contact Microsoft Support and tell them about the account and they will monitor the account. I recommend just repeatedly reporting the account
