    Microsoft Account Balance changes when trying to pre order fifa 20 through the loyalty...


    Help i have no clue how or why this is happening but it is urgent. When I try to buy games through the store, all my money is in my account balance, however when I tried to buy the game through the main menu (it's cheaper) all my money disappears. HELP!

    Sorry to hear it. Please first make sure that your account is in the same region (country) that you live in. Also, if you're sharing a gold membership with someone the gold benefit (sale price) would not be available to you if you're not on the same console
    that's sharing the gold membership.

    However, if the statement above is not accurate check to see if there's an option to change your payment method to include your current balance.

    I had the option to use ny Microsoft account balance at the point of pre-order, and it even states under the payment options that account balance can be used and is the only payment method charged immediately for pre-orders.

    Our problem is changing the amount of balance taken after the order is in place.

    Microsoft and Xbox gift cards now go to the same account balance too. They're interchangeable.

    At least, in my frequent experiences in the UK.

    It seems that the only option in this case would be to cancel the pre-order and try again using your Microsoft account balance.

    Getting charged twice

    When you pre-order with a credit/debit or paypal, Microsoft will run a test charge to see if your payment details are valid. This payment does not go all the way through. Only once the game is about 10 days from release does the actual charge to your payment instrument go all the way through. The only time the amount is fully deducted at the time of pre-order is when using you Microsoft account balance. If you used a credit/debit/paypal to pre-order, then you weren't actually charged in March. It would only be trying to charge the full amount this week as the game is almost out.
