Ok, my microsoft account keeps asking for a verification code, but I don’t know where to get it. I have checked my emails, spam and everything. Nothing works.

That is what makes me think you got PHISHED. I have never heard of MICROSOFT asking for verification.

usually verification codes are sent through email or sms. if you can't find it contact support.

I have not tried to change it yet. And yes it does ask for a verification code. Where do I contact Microsoft support at?

Hey there.

The best option is to change the password of your profile and make sure they do not get it again. Also, it is good to activate the two step verification. This will ask for the password and also for a code that will be sent where you want to log in: a mobile

Do you know the current email and password for the account?

If so you can change the security proof on the account (where they want to send the verification code to) by signing into the account by going to account.live.com/addassocid this will ask to send a verification code if you click on that you do not have access
to where they want to send the verification code it will allow you to change where it is being sent to.

KEEP IN MIND:

Once you start the process to change the security proof it will take 30 days for the change to take affect. The ONLY way to stop that change is to gain access to the old security proof.

You will be locked out of the account for that 30 days but once that change takes affect you would be able to make any changes to the account including the email you use to sign into the account.

And that verification code will be sent to your security proofs can be your email or phone number that you have successfully added to your account.

Once you receive the verification code write/ enter it to the page wherein it ask for the code and it'll be verified successfully.
