    Microsoft account and xbox


    My xbox was set up with my mother's Email.I would like to set up a new computer with a different Microsoft account. However i have a lot of content on the account made with my moms email. Can i sync them and put all the stuff from my old account to the new?

    Thanks for reaching out to us with this issue. Sadly, there is no way to merge accounts or transfer that information into a new account. Your best bet if you no longer wish to use your mother's email as the primary sign-in alias is to change it. Check out
    our support article entitled
    How to change the email address associated with your Microsoft account     for detailed instructions on how to do so.

    This can happen when you switch devices or change regions.

    To resolve this issue, you will need to contact Xbox Support. They will be able to assist you in updating the device ID on your license so that it matches the device ID on your new device.

    Please enter this link to contact support: https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact

    Then, follow these steps:

    Type in your query: "Agent"

    Click on Get Help.

    Scroll down the page and click on Contact Support.

    Select your "Other Products" and "Billing and Account Profile Questions" > Confirm.

    Select Chat with support agent > Confirm > Start Chat.

    xbox accounts and microsoft accounts were fully merged years ago, you can no longer separate or move an xbox account to another microsoft account as the xbox account IS the microsoft account now.
