Microsoft Account and Xbox

In all my days I have never experienced such poor support from a service provider! Microsoft is supposed to be the "king" of technology but I can't even get someone on the phone to help me! I have been having problems with my Xbox live subscription for
months now and can't seem to get any help! I pay for the service and it says I am logged in to xbox live but nothing works. I have tried the 'virtual help person" but even when it says there are 0 people in the queue, nobody ever comes or says anything!
Then I try to call support and it just refers you to the webpage over and over and nothing there works either! I have tried the phone call back option and it doesn't work! My only option is to cancel all my microsoft subscriptions!

You can add Microsoft Points pre-paid codes by using the Xbox 360 console or by using Xbox.com.

Xbox 360 console

To enter a pre-paid Microsoft Points code by using the Xbox 360 Guide main menu, follow these steps:
Press the Xbox 360 Guide button, and then go to the Marketplace area.
Select Redeem Code.
Enter the 25-character pre-paid code.
To enter a Microsoft Points code by using the Add Points Wizard, follow these steps:
To access the Add Points Wizard, press the X button while you view any content description screen within the Game Marketplace or Video Marketplace areas or while you view the Memberships section in the Account Management area.
Select Redeem Prepaid Card.
Enter the 25-character pre-paid code.

Visit Sign In (Sign In) or follow these steps:
From Xbox.com, use your Windows Live ID to sign in to your Xbox LIVE account.
Select My Account from the My Xbox drop-down menu.
Click Redeem Code to enter the pre-paid code and add Microsoft Points to your account.

and the virtual help never comes so whats with that. It says zero in the queue but no one virtual person ever says anything!

Have you actually tried to reach anyone using the "customer support" link you provided? I am telling you, none of your support options work and I can't be the only one that's upset with the support

I agree it's been hard to get used to the new system but I broke this down for you:

The best way to reach Live Support would be here: Contact Us | Xbox Support

It's going to ask if you want help from the virtual agent select
no thanks, pick the category(Games) and just pick a contact method
(request a call from support or Chat is faster).

This can happen when you switch devices or change regions.

To resolve this issue, you will need to contact Xbox Support. They will be able to assist you in updating the device ID on your license so that it matches the device ID on your new device.

Then, follow these steps:

Type in your query: "Agent"

Click on Get Help.

Scroll down the page and click on Contact Support.

Select your "Other Products" and "Billing and Account Profile Questions" > Confirm.

Select Chat with support agent > Confirm > Start Chat.

xbox accounts and microsoft accounts were fully merged years ago, you can no longer separate or move an xbox account to another microsoft account as the xbox account IS the microsoft account now.

the xbox account IS the microsoft account, the microsoft account covers all microsofts services.

A Microsoft account and Xbox account are essentially the same thing. You can't remove an Xbox account from a Microsoft account
