microsoft account alias rename not working

Hi I'm trying to rename my Microsoft account alias. When i go through the whole process. i get the verification to my new email i would like to rename it to. It says every time that there is a problem with the system, please try again later. i have tried
this multiple times the past 2 weeks. please help me. The email i have attached to my xbox gamertag is not a valid email anymore so i cannot verify it. This is getting frustrating. Everyone i have talked to has said "ill look into it" or let me email or contact
you with 24-48 hours. I just want to freaking have a different email associated with my gamertag. especially since i have spent thousands of dollars on my account on video games and such.

if i could possibly transfer my gamertag to another microsoft account some how that would be great. i have access to the current one. i would just like to ensure i have more control incase something happens to the account since i dont have access to the
email on the microsoft account.

Here are some ideas for you. I think 1) may be your problem.

The error "Microsoft Account does not exist" usually means

1) The person is logging in using an Alias. If the user renamed the affected email address into a new account, the original account will become an Alias. Thus logging in using the original account (Alias) will trigger the system to prompt the user that it
does not exist. The solution is to log in using the new account.

2) The person mistyped the email address. Retyped the correct email address.

3) The person did not access the account within 365 days. The account will be deleted permanently in the system due to inactivity. You may recreate the account as a new account if it is still available.

 

Changing Microsoft account accosiated with gamer tag

The alias won't work for me. Because I already have a Microsoft account, I can't make my email a primary alias on another account. And both accounts are being used for windows 8 computers.

 

Are you trying to do this on the Console or on a PC?

Unfortunately, a gamertag may not be moved to another Microsoft account.

What is possible however, is the ability to change the sign-in email/email alias for the
account.

This would allow an email you may want to use on your account that is not already attached with another to be added onto your account.

Ok I have tried about 50 times to change that account alias. But this is what I get everytime. Seems there is a problem with yalls service. I have tried on my computer and other devices and it still doesnt work. Would be nice if this could be fixed...but

I apologize for all the hassle I understand it can be very frustrating to get a constant error message when trying to get something done. I do want to get this going for you and make sure it gets resolved. Now, with the picture you've provided I see that
you're getting an error message when trying to put in the code. Now, usually the verification codes you receive to your security information is 7 digits long. Have you checked to see if you have received a 7 digit code in your email instead of a 4 digit code?

I already get that 7 digit code. There is a second verification code that ops up. Verifying the new alias I'm trying to put it. It's a 4 digit code.

The 7 digit code is for verifying it's me actually changing stuff. The 4 digit code is for veryifing my new alias. Which the 4 digit code part doesnt work. I'm sure that might be the last step it just doesnt work.

Have you tried doing this on a PC and a different browser. For example if you are using IE( internet explorer, Edge) try google chrome. There been issues doing the rename alias and verifying on the console itself.

There is something seriously wrong with this system. I try everyday hoping it would work. But man this freaking just is never gunna be fixed. What's the deal here. Someone please my question. Give me someone who can actually freaking help.....this is getting

The new email that you are trying to use is it:

1. A MS server email (@hotmail.com, @outlook.com, @live.com, @msn.com)?

2. Is it already a MS account?
