hey guys i'm having issues with mic on my headset are not properly working

currently using turtle beach xp7 and the microsoft chat adapter for the new S controller.

i'm also having issues w updating the controller w a microUSB for some odd reason too even though its telling me there is none. you still can but somehow xbox doesn't recognize the microUSB cable being used.

anyways... i have the amp hooked up to headset and mic is plugged into headset. a 2.5mm to 3.5mm cord from amp to the controller adapter. i hear my voice and able to hear both game music and "chat". i don't hear anyone and not sure if chat in game works,
no symbol shown of chat existing when in game.

tried all options in game also and nothing. checked all settings for audio on the xbox all settings.

technically should work even though RCA is not being used (outdated) and you would think a mic on a headset would work through just two plug-ings from headset > mixamp > xbox one controller chat.

also tried headset straight to controller didn't work w/ adapter on and off the controller.

    :)

How to connect a wireless Microphone to your Xbox 360 console

You can use the Xbox 360 Wireless Microphone with the Xbox video game and entertainment system. Before connecting the Microphone to a console, you have to insert the batteries. The microphone supports only AA (LR6) alkaline or fully charged Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries.

Note: The microphone doesn’t include a charging system. So, you must charge the batteries in an appropriate charging device.

Now you can create a wireless connection between the microphone and your console. microphone :)

Connect the microphone to the console

It is possible to connect up to four Xbox Wireless Microphones at one time, depending on your configuration and game support. Each microphone will be assigned to one of the four lights surrounding the power button of the console. But the quadrant will only light up if a controller is connected to the console.

Note: If four microphones are connected to the console, two of them can be used to sing. The other two microphones can be used as percussion instruments.

To connect a microphone to the console, follow the steps bellow:

    • First, you need to turn on your console.
    • Now press and hold the power button on the microphone until the lights start flashing. It’ll take about three seconds.
    • You need to press and hold the power button on the microphone again until the light start flashing quickly. It’ll also take about three seconds.
    • When the microphone’s lights stop flashing and the lights surrounding the power button on the console spin and flash one time, the microphone is connected.
    • If you want to connect more microphones follow the steps above.

If you want to turn off your microphone, you’ll have to press and then release the power button. If the microphone is idle for 15 minutes, it’ll go to sleeping mode till you start to use it again.

    Notes:

    • You cannot connect a microphone to multiple consoles at a time. But you can connect the microphone to a new console any time disconnecting it from the previous one.
    • You can use a microphone within 33 feet (10 meters) of the console. However, other radio frequency-emitting devices or objects between the microphone and the console may reduce this range.
    • If the microphone is out of wireless range, the lights will flash green on time every second.

Cant speak on live party and speaker icon wont go Away

If you have a Kinect Camera/Microphone plugged in and you remove your normal microphone, the microphone image will still stay there.

As for your microphone, have you tried a different one?

bluetooth headset + gears controller not syncing

Is the microphone socket on your controller blocked by anything or has a previous wired microphone lead snapped while in the controller? The reason I ask this is because any wired microphone will not let a wireless microphone connect to the controllers player
number. If it looks clear, start up an Xbox Live party and check if it says a microphone is connected without turning on your wireless microphone, if it says a microphone is connected then there's the issue. If it's possible I would return it to the retailer
you bought it from for an exchange.

Why isn't moc connecting on Xbox 360

Hello, I'm Felipe and I'm an independent Community Advisor, and I'll do my best to help you.

There could be several reasons why your microphone is not connecting on Xbox 360. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check the physical connection: Make sure that your microphone is properly plugged into the controller or console. Check that the jack is fully inserted and the microphone is securely connected.

Check the microphone settings: Ensure that the microphone is turned on and the volume is set to an appropriate level. Go to the Xbox 360 dashboard, select "Settings," and then "Preferences." From there, select "Voice." You can adjust the settings for the microphone, including the volume and sensitivity.

Test the microphone: Use the "Test Microphone" feature to see if your microphone is working. Go to the Xbox 360 dashboard, select "Settings," and then "Preferences." From there, select "Voice" and then "Test Microphone." Speak into the microphone and look for the sound meter to move.

Try a different microphone: If the above steps do not work, try using a different microphone. Sometimes microphones can become damaged or faulty over time, and using a new one can help isolate the issue.

If none of the above steps work, you may need to contact Xbox support for further assistance.

If your microphone isn't detected after updating Windows 10, you may need to give your apps permission to use it. To let apps access the microphone, select Start ,then select Settings > Privacy > Microphone . Select Change, then turn on Allow apps to access your microphone!
