Microphone Worked, Now It Doesn't

I have the Stereo Headset adapter for the Xbox One controller, I also have a set of Tritton/MadCatz AX headphones.

The Triton/MadCatz headphones came with a adapter for the Xbox360 that I removed the housing and tabs on the 2.5mm end.

Using the 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter that came with the Xbox One Stereo Headset adapter and the now modified Triton adapter worked for a while for party chat and all but it stopped working a day or two ago.

I do not know what changed. Anyone have any suggestions or solutions for this issue?

Rockband 4 wired microphone no working anymore

I been playing Rockband 4 with a wired microphone worked good and then I didn't play it for about a week and today I started it up and did the update it wanted me to. And now when I try to use the wired microphone it won't work it says no microphone detected.
Please help and I tried both the usb plug in and restarted it.

Yes I know the controller doesn't have a microphone it's when the microphone headset is connected to the controller.
