Discus and support microphone options in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; does anyone know if USB microphones work with Xbox one and if so, what are some good microphones that are not too expensive that would work....     And i cant remember where to do this or not, or even if its still a thing anymore, but there was an option to test microphones on the xbox as well...also might want to check if the microphone itself is working properly (specifically the microphone)

    It does not force you to use the kinect for chat. You can turn your kinect off as a microphone by going to settings and selecting kinect and deselect the microphone option

    Microsoft haven't produced an Xbox specific microphone, no.

    The only option is either to use a headset with a built-in microphone or find a mic that can be used via the 3.5mm audio port on the controller
